E4NC - ENGLISH FOR NEW CANADIANS
What is E4NC?
E4NC is a free program taught by experienced volunteers. It is for all adults (18+) who want to improve their English skills (vocabulary, grammar, idioms, speaking/pronunciation, reading, and writing appropriate to each of our three levels); learn about Canadian culture; and meet people while they are settling into Winnipeg and the Canadian lifestyle.
Because this is a church program, we discuss passages from the Bible, prayer, and Christian holidays in our classes. Being a Christian is not a requirement. We welcome all those who are looking for a church home or have questions about Christianity to join us on Sunday mornings for our Sunday worship services, an EAL Bible class, special events, and our other church programs designed for all ages.
2025-2026 School Year
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE JANUARY TO MAY 2026 CLASS SESSIONS.
Classes for the next session begin the week of January 12, 2026 and end the week of May 24, 2026.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU REGISTER:
- If you have been enrolled in a class, you will get an email informing you of this. Please respond to the email telling us whether or not you will be attending.
- Do not attend a class unless you have received an email confirming your enrollment.
- If there is no space in the class, you will be placed on a wait list.
- Open spots in classes will be filled with people from the wait lists in the order they registered.
- If there is an opening in a class, you will get an email informing you that you may attend the class. Please respond to this email telling us whether or not you will be attending.
- Please note that if you miss two classes in a row without letting the teacher know, you may be removed from the class and replaced with someone on the wait list
- Do not invite other people to your class. You may ask them to register on the church website.
